Helping with the unpacking

We moved to a new apartment at the beginning of June, and I watched as my parents were frantically packing and unpacking and moving huge boxes around. I thought they could use some help, so I started unpacking my toys and finding a place for them in the drawer under the TV. These days it is never turned on because my parents have lost the remote. I am wondering why?
